Marine Floating Solutions

Application family · first commercial deployment

Education & Community Infrastructure

Floating classrooms lead the MFS programme, with clinics, sanitation, utility and community modules sharing the same platform.

Market need

Why this application matters.

Flood-exposed coastal and island communities lose school days, clinic access and basic services every wet season. Land for new infrastructure is scarce, and conventional construction in these areas is slow, costly and repeatedly damaged by flooding.

The MFS response

A configured platform, not a one-off build.

MFS configures its common floating platform as classrooms, clinics, sanitation blocks, utility units and community spaces that rise with the water. Floating classrooms are the featured launch application; every other module in this family uses the same hull, connections and utility packages.

Floating classrooms — single rooms or connected school clusters
Community clinics and health posts
Sanitation and hygiene modules
Utility platforms — solar power, battery storage, rainwater capture
Community and training spaces
Walkway and shore-connection systems

Example deployment scenarios

How a configuration could be used.

01

Village school cluster

Two classroom modules and a sanitation unit moored off a flood-exposed barangay, connected to shore by walkway, with rooftop solar powering lights, fans and devices.

02

Island health post

A clinic module with cold-chain storage for vaccines, serving island communities hours from the nearest mainland facility.

03

Community hub

A classroom that converts to a training, meeting and evacuation space after school hours, with power and water services for the wider community.

Delivery partners

Commercial status

Where this application stands today.

Current capability

Floating classroom design, platform engineering and the Subic Bay assembly base are in place, with an indicated requirement from a Mindanao regional education authority.

Configurable applications

Clinics, sanitation, utility and community modules are configurable on the same platform today, subject to project-specific engineering.

Future opportunities

Connected school and clinic clusters, and larger community complexes assembled from multiple linked platforms.
