Marine Floating Solutions

Application family

Emergency, Environmental & Coastal Response

Rapidly deployable floating bases that bring command, medical, power, water and logistics capability to coastlines after storms and during environmental response.

Market need

Why this application matters.

Typhoons and flooding regularly cut off Philippine coastal communities precisely when roads, ports and power fail. Response agencies need operating bases that can be positioned where the damage is — on the water — and environmental teams need working platforms for monitoring, spill response and habitat restoration.

The MFS response

A configured platform, not a one-off build.

MFS configures its platform as a floating response base: command and communications modules, a small medical unit, emergency power and water, and deck space for relief logistics — towed into position and moored where it is needed. The same base supports environmental monitoring, spill and marine-litter response, and coastal recovery work.

Command and communications module with mast
Temporary medical support unit
Emergency power — solar, battery and generator
Water treatment and storage
Relief logistics deck and workboat berthing
Environmental monitoring and sampling equipment

Example deployment scenarios

How a configuration could be used.

01

Post-typhoon response base

A command, medical and power configuration moored off an affected coastline, supporting relief distribution while land infrastructure is restored.

02

Evacuation support

Linked platforms providing temporary shelter, sanitation and first aid for displaced coastal residents.

03

Environmental operations

A monitoring and workboat base for spill response, marine-litter collection, habitat restoration and coastal recovery programmes.

Commercial status

Where this application stands today.

Current capability

The platform, mooring and utility architecture that a response base requires is engineered today as part of the common MFS system.

Configurable applications

Command, medical, power, water and logistics configurations are available for project-specific development with response agencies.

Future opportunities

Pre-positioned regional response fleets and standing environmental-monitoring platforms.
