Application family
Ports, Logistics & Industrial Marine Infrastructure
Modular floating terminals and operating bases that add berth space, services and logistics capacity beside existing ports — without years of landside construction.
Market need
Why this application matters.
Ports and industrial marine operators across Asia-Pacific need more berth space, crew facilities and service capacity than their land and budgets allow. Offshore projects need forward logistics bases. Conventional wharf construction is slow, capital-heavy and permanently fixed in place.
The MFS response
A configured platform, not a one-off build.
MFS supplies the floating platform and integrated support systems — berthing, charging, fuelling, storage, maintenance and crew support — as modular units that moor beside existing facilities. MFS provides the platform and integrated systems, not the entire terminal: cranes, cargo-handling equipment and port operations remain with the operator and its specialist contractors.
Example deployment scenarios
How a configuration could be used.
01
Port overflow berth
A modular berth and services platform adding capacity at a congested municipal port, installed in weeks rather than a multi-year wharf programme.
02
Offshore project base
A forward logistics and crew-support platform for an offshore energy or construction project, repositioned as the project moves.
03
Island ferry terminal
A passenger access, ticketing and waiting platform serving island ferry routes where no fixed terminal exists.

Commercial status
Where this application stands today.
Current capability
The heavy-duty platform, mooring and utility integration required for operating bases draws on the same engineered MFS system as our other products.
Configurable applications
Berthing, charging, storage, maintenance and crew-support configurations are available for project-specific engineering with operators.
Future opportunities
Multi-platform modular terminals and specialised energy-handling configurations, developed with port and industrial partners.
